PT PLN Energi Gas Receives the “Tanda Kehormatan” Award in the 100th Issue of Listrik Indonesia Magazine
Jakarta, 26 September 2024 – PT PLN Energi Gas received the prestigious “Tanda Kehormatan” award for its contribution to the use of gas for electricity generation at an event organized by Listrik Indonesia. The event was held to celebrate the publication of the 100th issue of Listrik Indonesia magazine and was attended by various key figures from the energy sector.
This award was presented to PT PLN Energi Gas in the Logistics and Supply Chain category, in recognition of the company’s significant role in ensuring a reliable gas supply for the nation’s electricity needs. The use of gas as an energy source has helped improve operational efficiency and strengthen national energy security.
The Director of PT PLN Energi Gas, who accepted the award in person, stated, “This award motivates us to continue innovating and contributing to supporting Indonesia’s electricity sector through cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions. We are committed to further strengthening gas infrastructure and supply to support the government’s renewable energy targets.”
This awards ceremony is part of the celebration of a significant milestone for Listrik Indonesia Magazine, which has reached its 100th issue as the leading platform supporting information and developments in the nation’s electricity sector.

According to Moh. Riza Affiandi, President Director of PT PLN Energi Gas, the company operates in the midstream sector of the natural gas infrastructure, which encompasses the transportation, storage, and distribution of natural gas. PLN EG is expected to develop and operate infrastructure throughout the midstream gas supply chain to ensure the availability and sustainability of natural gas supplies for PT PLN (Persero)’s power plants.
PLN EG is also expected to mitigate “Take or Pay” risks associated with gas contracts and LNG SPAs from PT PLN (Persero), as well as ensure the reliability of gas and LNG supply. Currently, PLN EG, a subsidiary of PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia, serves as the business execution arm (Operational Excellence), responsible for executing the business portfolios established by the sub-holding.
“PLN EG currently owns a natural gas pipeline distribution asset in Tanjung Batu and an LNG storage and regasification (FSRU) asset in Amurang, both of which have already made positive financial contributions to the company,” said Riza. According to him, this aligns with the division of roles mentioned earlier: as a subsidiary, PLN EG is expected to excel in carrying out specific functions or businesses within the sub-holding’s value chain.
As part of its strategic role, PLN EG is expected to maximize the development of existing assets, such as gas pipeline networks, LNG storage facilities, and regasification facilities (Gas Pipeline, LNG Storage, and Regasification). PLN EG is also encouraged to explore new opportunities by venturing into underdeveloped supporting sectors, such as new enabler areas that have not yet been developed, including transportation, liquefaction plants, or other enablers.
