From Gas Stations to Kelulut Honey, PLN Energi Gas Promotes Reliable Operations and Sustainable CSR
Samarinda, 24 May 2026 – PLN Energi Gas organized a site visit by the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors to the Tanjung Batu Gas Station, as well as a visit to the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program for Kelulut Honeybee Farming in Lempake, Samarinda, on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
The event was attended in person by the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, members of the Board of Directors, and the management of PLN Energi Gas. The visit began with a safety induction as part of the company’s efforts to foster a culture of workplace safety within its operational environment. Following that, the delegation toured the Control Room and proceeded with a site visit around the Tanjung Batu Gas Station area to directly observe facility operations and ensure that business processes are running optimally, safely, and reliably.
PLN Energi Gas Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Saiful Chaniago, stated that this site visit is a crucial part of ensuring the proper implementation of corporate governance, particularly regarding operational and workplace safety aspects.
“This activity demonstrates PLN Energi Gas’s commitment to maintaining operational reliability while ensuring that workplace safety remains a top priority. We also want to ensure that the company not only focuses on business but also makes a positive impact on the community through sustainable social programs,” said Saiful Chaniago.
PLN Energi Gas CEO Edwin Bangun added that the visit served as an opportunity to strengthen synergy between management and operational units while also observing firsthand the progress of the company’s TJSL program.
“PLN Energi Gas continues to promote operational excellence in line with social and environmental sustainability. Through this visit, we aim to ensure operations run optimally while supporting community empowerment through the TJSL program, which delivers tangible and sustainable benefits,” said Edwin Bangun.
Following the site visit at the Tanjung Batu Gas Station, the group proceeded to visit the Kelulut Honeybee Farming site in Lempake, Samarinda. This program is part of PLN Energi Gas’s TJSL Program, which has been underway since early 2025 as an effort to empower communities and foster economic development based on local potential.
During the visit, PLN Energi Gas management directly observed the farming process, the management of kelulut honey production, and the potential for future program development to provide economic value to the surrounding community.
Through this activity, PLN Energi Gas reaffirms its commitment to continuously maintaining the company’s operational reliability while delivering TJSL programs that are adaptive, sustainable, and provide tangible benefits to the community and the environment surrounding the company’s operational areas.
