PLN Energi Gas Strengthens Its Culture of Sustainability Through “Clean Energy Day with EGenerations”
Jakarta, 24 April 2026 – PLN Energi Gas continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the clean energy transition and the implementation of sustainability principles through the “Clean Energy Day with EGenerations” program. As part of the implementation of the government’s and the PLN Group’s strategic directives in response to global dynamics, this initiative encourages all employees to actively participate in concrete actions to reduce carbon emissions.
Clean Energy Day is held regularly every Friday and is designed as a simple yet impactful step toward encouraging behavioral changes toward a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. Through this program, all PLN Energi Gas (EGenerations) employees are encouraged to reduce their use of fossil-fuel-powered vehicles, switch to low-emission modes of transportation such as electric vehicles, public transit, bicycles, or walking, and track their commutes to monitor their contributions to reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency.
As part of the company’s cultural transformation, this program not only focuses on reducing emissions but also serves as a means of educating employees and raising their awareness of the importance of individual roles in preserving the environment. Active participation from all EGenerations members is key to the program’s success, which gradually fosters positive and sustainable habits in the workplace.
Over the past two weeks, PLN Energi Gas has achieved significant results, reducing carbon emissions by 248.6093 KgCO₂e, saving 213.11 liters of fuel, and contributing an average emission reduction of 6.06 KgCO₂e per employee.
These achievements demonstrate that small steps taken collectively can have a tangible impact on the environment. In addition to contributing to reduced carbon emissions, this program has also successfully promoted energy efficiency, raised environmental awareness, and fostered a healthier, greener, and more productive work environment.
Furthermore, Clean Energy Day aligns with the PLN Group’s commitment to supporting the national decarbonization agenda and achieving the Net Zero Emissions (NZE) target. With simultaneous implementation across all PLN Group entities, this program is expected to have a broader and more sustainable impact—not only within the company but also for the broader community.
