Site Visit and Monitoring of the Onshore Facilities Project for the Huadi Punagaya ITC Power Plant

Punagaya, 23 April 2025 – PT PLN Energi Gas (PLN EG), along with its management team, conducted a site visit to the construction site of the Onshore Facilities project to support the operations of the Huadi Independent Terminal Customer (ITC) Power Plant in Punagaya, South Sulawesi. This construction project is a preventive measure by the company to address the power outages that still frequently occur in the South Sulawesi region, primarily due to reliance on electricity supply from hydroelectric power plants, which is insufficient to meet energy needs during the dry season or El Niño events.

The purpose of this site visit was to conduct a direct inspection and review the progress of the ongoing project, particularly along the onshore pipeline route up to the tie-in point with the ITC power plant. The visit was attended by PLN EG’s Acting President Director, Edwin Bangun, accompanied by PLN EG’s Corporate Secretary, PLN EG’s Construction Manager, the Internal Audit Unit (SPI) team from PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (EPI), the Project Manager and Construction Manager from PT Pelayanan Energi Batam (PEB), as well as representatives from the EPC contractor Punagaya.

During the visit, the delegation conducted a comprehensive inspection of the onshore pipeline route and other supporting facilities to ensure that all work is proceeding in accordance with established safety, quality, and schedule standards. The team also conducted a firsthand assessment of various technical challenges encountered on-site and discussed measures to accelerate the project’s completion.
