To Strengthen Synergy in Energy Development in the Punagaya Region, PLN Energi Gas Holds a Strategic Meeting with the Regent of Jeneponto
Jeneponto, 12 June 2025 – PT PLN Energi Gas (PLN EG) held a meeting with the Regent of Jeneponto as part of efforts to strengthen relations and synergy between the company and the local government in support of national energy development in the South Sulawesi region.
Held at the Jeneponto Regent’s Office, the meeting was attended by the Jeneponto Regent, the management team of PLN Nusantara Power Generation Unit (PLN NP UP) Punagaya, as well as leaders and management representatives from PLN Energi Gas, including the Acting President Director, Acting Director of Finance and Human Resources, Corporate Secretary, and other members of management.
The main agenda items for this meeting included: a presentation on the profile and operational activities of PLN Energi Gas; a discussion on the role of the Punagaya operational unit in supporting the national energy supply; and a dialogue regarding potential community outreach initiatives in the vicinity of the operational area.
During the meeting, PLN EG expressed its appreciation to the Jeneponto Regency Government for the support provided in the implementation of the gasification project and the Company’s social activities. The Acting President Director of PLN Energi Gas expressed the hope that the existing collaboration could continue to be strengthened, particularly in terms of community empowerment and the optimization of clean energy in the South Sulawesi region.
The Regent of Jeneponto welcomed this visit and expressed his hope that the PLN EG project in the Punagaya area would continue to have a positive impact economically, socially, and environmentally.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to support the smooth operation of the project and to open avenues for strategic cooperation between PLN Energi Gas and the Jeneponto Regency Government in the future.
