PT PLN Energi Gas Attends GASTECH 2023 at Singapore EXPO
Singapore, 5–8 September 2023 – PLN Gas & Geothermal (PLNGG) attended the GASTECH conference organized by ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, and Venture Global LNG
The event, which opened on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, featured four (4) government officials, namely:
- H.E. Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Republic of Egypt
- Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Gas, Nigeria
- H.E. Tutuka Ariadji, Director General of Oil and Gas, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Indonesia
- Joseph McMonigle, Secretary-General of the International Energy Forum (IEF)
Attended by various gas companies from around the world, this event serves as a gathering for experts in gas, LNG, hydrogen, and climate technology solutions. It also provides an opportunity to build connections, foster discussions, and gain insights into cutting-edge technologies driving change in the energy sector, all of which are expected to shape a progressive future for the industry.

On his opening remarks, Christopher Hudson, President of DMG Events, stated, “This year’s Gastech theme reflects the need for greater engagement and the forging of new partnerships both within and outside the industry, to advance progress in the energy sector. I am proud and delighted to invite you to Gastech’s most ambitious agenda yet. Our programs reflect the ambition and complexity of the entire energy value chain.”
The Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tutuka Ariadji, also noted that the government’s crucial role is to create new and attractive regulations for emission reduction systems such as CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage). He also emphasized that we need to participate in the development of gas infrastructure.
“Through Gastech, we see the urgency of practical efforts to accelerate the emissions reduction process and make the energy system more efficient. The government and industry players are enacting progressive and bold legislation,” said Riza.
